Who we are


UKFI is a Companies Act Company (Company no: 6720891), with HM Treasury as its sole shareholder. The company’s activities are governed by its Board, which is accountable to the Chancellor of the Exchequer and – through the Chancellor – to Parliament.

Membership of the UKFI Board comprises a private sector Chair, non-executive private sector members, a Chief Executive and senior Government officials. Sir David Cooksey is Chairman and Robin Budenberg is Chief Executive.

UKFI has today published updated versions of its Framework Document and Investment Mandate to reflect UKFI’s responsibility for managing the government’s investments in Northern Rock plc and Northern Rock Asset Management plc.
